Nail Art #19 | Mermaid Nails

I love glitter polishes. I love how shiny they are, how there are different sizes and colours of glitter pieces, and how they sparkle in the light. I've wanted to have mermaid nails for the longest time when I got these Barry M Glitterati polishes in the post, but I just couldn't bring myself to do them when I knew I'd struggle taking them off.

And then I discovered peel off nail polish. My saviour. I heard about peel off polish from YouTubers a few months ago. I didn't think I could find such a product in the UK, but I did! I found one from Miss Sporty for £2.29.

You apply it like a normal polish, wait for it to go clear (it takes a few minutes) and then start painting your glitter polish on. I applied two coats of the peel off polish as I read that it peels off better. By the way, the peeling process is really fun... It's like PVA glue for your nails!

Anyway, I did a glitter ombre without a sponge, and used a nail art pen for the scales. I used Barry M's Glitterarti in Catwalk Queen and VIP. I will definitely do these nails again. It's the closest I'll get to being a mermaid.

Do you have a pet peeve when it comes to nail polishes?
